Why Early Access?“As a solo developer, it is essential to find people to try my game and provide feedback. Early Access is a great tool for small development teams (1 in this case) and will allow the game to be tried and tested before full release.”Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?“I anticipate the game will be complete around June of 2020.”How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?“Paradox Vector is currently a short demo. The full game will have more environments, more levels, more enemies, more weapons, more puzzles etc.Non-Linear GameplayCurrently, the game is very linear, with a series of levels in a predetermined order. I plan to have more exploration, with a larger 'outdoor' map, with access to 'dungeons' which will allow the player to go back and forth between levels.Puzzles and TrapsThere are a few simple puzzles and traps in the game. Future levels will place somewhat more emphasis on solving these kinds of puzzles, which will be more complex.

It will still be mainly focused on combat, but I want to add more exploration and problem solving that is more evident in the current game's later levels.”What is the current state of the Early Access version?“Currently, all the main gameplay features are in place and working. There are several levels to navigate, weapons to find and use against an array of enemies.

Each level gets more complex than the previous.”Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?“I plan to make the game $9.99 when it is ready for full release.”How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?“Using Steam's Community Hub, reporting bugs and providing feedback will be easy for players. I also have a discord channel for Paradox Vector, in case players prefer to use that avenue. Will not promise to add everyone's ideas to the game.

But if an idea resonates with my vision of the game, and it is feasible for me to accomplish, then I would love to incorporate user feedback into Paradox Vector.”. About This Game Early AccessAt this time, Paradox Vector is in an unfinished state. Unraveling oliver. We are looking for players who want to try something new, and offer their feedback as well. If you are looking for a seamless and polished game, please wishlist the game, and wait until the full release.Vector GraphicsParadox Vector imagines if vector graphics were still popular when the first-person shooter genre got started. The old-school shooters like Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein 3D arrived well after vector graphics had been all but forgotten. In this open-world game, you can see a different kind of retro shooter, one that never actually existed.Inspired by arcade games from the early 1980s like Tailgunner, Battlezone, and even the original Star Wars game, Paradox Vector takes this abandoned style, and brings it up to date.Impossible Geometry and Dangerous FoesThe impossible art of M.C. Escher had a big influence on Paradox Vector.

This is not a puzzle game, but an action game set in a puzzling environment. Hallways appear to go one way but actually go another, enemies may attack from angles you might not expect, and navigating the levels may require you to think outside of the box.Don't think it's going to be easy though! The ancient alien stronghold you are exploring is not abandoned.

Robotic guards, Squid-Spiders and Flying Jellyfish will make your life a living hell if you are not careful!Open WorldParadox Vector does not limit players to a simple series of levels, but allows you to explore an open environment, retracing steps as needed. Some weapons and items will allow you to unlock secrets and upgrades, thus rewarding those who are curious and persistent. Don't let the minimalistic graphics fool you, there is a lot to be discovered in this puzzling and challenging adventure.

Emblems - Domination categoryCreating your own emblems Emblems are simply squared images that the game sticks on top of a background to create a flag. For each emblem 3 texture files in the Direct Draw Texture format (.dds) are required: a default, medium-sized one; a big one, usually white and displayed only on the galactic map; and a small one displayed next to units. It is recommended to add the emblems using mods instead of placing them directly in the game folder to avoid any possible problems.
