Submitted on Review title of KSI LubolNon-linear, fun, and challenging SP obstructed by A.I.MoH: Airborne is precisely what the headline says. A WW2 FPS Campaign with an element of 'start anywhere you want' makes for increased replayability on the (sadly) few maps.
Weapon upgrades also helped to keep me invested in changing my loadouts as I would otherwise find the most 'overpowered' gun and stick with it.Some cons are A.I. Pathing for allies and enemies alike. Allies repeatedly run/stand directly in front of your line of fire, enemies very quickly and repeatedly crouch/stand behind cover, and not to mention the hilarious melee attacks attempted by enemies. Another con could be the enemies' ability to snipe the player with SMGs (even on easy difficulty), ignoring your allies standing feet away from them.
Lastly, the SP is short, and there is 0 character development. As a result, cutscenes of fatally injured allies are monotone. 'Travers' may as well be called 'Private,' etc. Even with all its faults, I still enjoyed this game (though I hated fighting tanks in it), 3.6 stars. Submitted on Review title of eViLwAfFleZl01Terrible.fun?I say 3/5 because, honestly, this is 2007 we're talking about, I want to be fair. Besides, it was free, so. Anyway, I once forced myself to beat COD 2 on Veteran, and it was insane, desperately clawing towards the next checkpoint.
But in its own way, it was fun, nothing stupid, or Japanese-level secret, like Dark Souls, it was just 'normal' difficult, and eventually pulling together my own strategy was enjoyable. I think for most people looking for old WWII FPS nostalgia, this game will do just fine. I don't think I can work without slick, modernized gunplay anymore. I mean again, 2007, wasn't expecting Destiny-esque smoothness, but UGH, MOH:Airborne controls like a.duck waddling. Nearly every gun feels clunky and awkward, you miss 80% of your shots. And the enemies? You haven't seen aimbot in a game until you've seen these snipers.
Plus I swear, the derpy movement and hitboxes just multiply your issues with aiming. So, downloader beware. Submitted on Review title of AkemuaClassic shooter; and it should stay that way.First of all, I really only rate this a 3-star. But because of the nostalgia and my love for WW2 games, I bumped this up to a four-star. Now let me say this, it really is a fun and well made game. But idk if was just me or what, but wow the mechanics and especially the hitboxes are just.
Ughhh, they will frustrate the best of us. I have done everything in the campaign, gotten all the drops done and beaten it on the hardest difficulty. My first experience was a little unusual on the backwards compatibility. Considering I put the game on normal and I was dying in 2-3 shots. I was not looking forward to playing expert mode. Come to find out, it WAS on expert mode, so I don't know if it changed difficulties on me somehow or it was just bugged, anyway, if you're struggling change the difficulty.
Moving on, my main issue was the hitbox. By far the worst hitbox I have ever (personally) seen. Otherwise, the story and game is fun. If you enjoy history it's an added bonus.
