Feb 20, 2016 'Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force' features the elite US Marshals Fugitive Task Force as they hunt down the most dangerous and elusive fugitives to date. In the 23-episode third season, Commander Lenny DePaul and his team hunt down high-profile fugitives week after week.
When law enforcement needs to catch the nation's most dangerous fugitives.they call the MANHUNTERS™.They are the best of the best, hunting down the worst of the worst.everyone from the DC Snipers and triple-homicide felons to major international fugitives. They are the U.S.
Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and they are the ultimate 'manhunters'. Mandated by U.S. Congress after 9/11, the Task Force is made up of multiple federal, state and local agencies, and has the unique ability to transcend jurisdictions in order to work together, unfettered by local boundaries, towards the common goal of catching these violent fugitives.Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force follows the elite agents of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force as they track down a different dangerous felon in each episode.
And audiences will get to know these real-life Marshals in a way never before seen in unscripted television. Based in the heart of NYC, A&E has been granted singular and unprecedented access by the Department of Justice and the U.S. Marshals to ride along with the agents of the NY / NJ Division, the busiest unit in the country, as they track down the most dangerous criminals on the run.
These highly trained 'good guys' catch almost 4,000 'bad guys' each year - that's about 10 every day. In 1990 a group of men kidnapped a 17-year-old boy in Greece, demanding ransom in exchange for the young man's safety. The ransom was not paid, and the victim was shot, his body found bound with a hood over its head, and buried.
18 years later, there is only one member of the group still at large and wanted for the crime. When INTERPOL learns that this murder suspect is living in the New York area, they ask Commander Lenny DePaul and his Fugitive Task Force to track and capture Greece's most wanted criminal. He pulls together an 'A-Team' that includes Detective Rasheen 'Pep' Peppers, Supervisor Tommy Kilbride, Inspector Dan Potucek and Detective Roxanne Lopez. In 1993 a man was convicted of selling narcotics in South Carolina. He had already been incarcerated for a similar charge before and, not wanting to return to prison, failed to show up to serve his time.
For 15 years his case had gone cold after US Marshals and local law enforcement in South Carolina were unable to locate him. But when Commander Lenny DePaul reopens the case after a loose tip comes in that the fugitive might be living in Manhattan, he assigns it to Deputy Michelle 'Michy' Mendez, a young investigator. Michy, determined, makes it her mission to prove to Lenny that she can crack this case, one that has eluded other Marshals. But with almost no concrete leads, and only one 15-year old photograph to go on, it is a formidable task.
Commander Lenny DePaul and Senior Parole Officer Vinny Senzamici get a case involving a man with a lengthy, violent criminal history. Vinny, who has spent the majority of his career working with The NY State Division of Parole, knows well that criminals who go missing, often are the most dangerous-they know that once found they will return to jail and feel that they have nothing to loose.
Vinny works closely with Investigator Federico Merced who speaks with the fugitive's grandmother trying to gather leads. After a series of hits they worry that they have tipped off their elusive fugitive. When Newark police responded to a robbery call in progress, they encountered a suspect red-handed, inside the house. But back at the precinct, their suspect escapes, fleeing the interrogation room.
After two months, reports in the local news, and several attempts by Newark PD to find 'Houdini,' Detective Rasheen 'Pep' Peppers and the Fugitive Task Force get called in to take over the case. Pep, Inspector Dan Potucek, and a Newark team of Deputized Marshals brief Commander Lenny DePaul on the case. Together they believe that the key to finding 'Houdini' is to locate his girlfriend. But as they embark on the hunt for their fugitive, they quickly learn that finding his girlfriend might prove to be just as difficult. Senior Parole Officer Vinny Senzamici and Officer Jesus Demung get a disturbing case involving a woman convicted of promoting the prostitution of a 13-year-old girl.
Child prostitution has become a serious problem across the US, but it is still rare to find a woman who would solicit a young child for sex. Commander Lenny DePaul works the case with them as they go after this sex offender, who disappeared after she skipped out on her parole and has been on the run for two months. The Task Force fears that she might be back up to no good and want to catch her before she endangers the life of another young person.
But finding someone used to working in the streets can be very difficult. ICE Supervisor Tommy Kilbride has been chasing a dangerous fugitive wanted in the questioning of an attempted murder and illegally re-entering into the United States. After four years of searching, the case finally has a big break and Tommy along with Deportation Officer Dennis Carroll enlist the help of Commander Lenny DePaul in their manhunt. Tommy and Dennis think they've found their fugitive living with a girlfriend in Miami, Florida. The problem is the lead is shaky at best, but it seems worth the risk if they have a chance of putting this fugitive behind bars.
Lenny, Tommy, Dennis and their team meet up with US Marshals in Florida to track down their target. What starts as surveillance turns into an intricate manhunt and the team has to sort through fact and fiction as they try to stay one step ahead of their target.
Fugitive Task Force Detectives Barry Johnson and John 'JP' Petroski meet with Commander Lenny DePaul to discuss a troubling new case involving a mother wanted for the brutal attack on her own two children. The children, ages 8 and 12, are now safe, but the mother is on the run. With no family ties and no work history, she goes off the grid and is nearly impossible to find. The team has very little to go on, but they follow a lead into the area outside Camden, New Jersey, and at their first hit, they get lucky. They discover the name of the fugitive's boyfriend.
But the hunt becomes a near impossible challenge when the boyfriend turns out to be as elusive as the fugitive. Commander Lenny DePaul and his team of Marshals from the Manhattan office of the Fugitive Task Force are in the midst of a sweep rounding up some of the regions most wanted sex offenders. Marshal Michelle 'Michy' Mendez finds herself with a priority case: she's on the trail of a man wanted for sexual assault on a young girl. With such a young victim the case becomes personal for Michy and her team, but they must put their feelings aside if they want to catch their fugitive. The hunt leads Michy to familiar ground-The Bronx and Washington Heights-but the fugitive is equally comfortable here having a large network of friends and family in the area.
Michy and her team race to put the pieces together in their hunt before the fugitive can escape their grasp. When you know the streets, the streets know you. Just ask Detective Sergeant Luddie Austin, who grew up in the 7.2 square mile city of Trenton, NJ and continues to work there today on the Task Force. Luddie brings a priority case to the attention of Commander Lenny DePaul. A 20-year-old is on the run after allegedly holding someone up at knifepoint.
As is often the case, Luddie knows the fugitive. He has even arrested him before. But knowing the perp and knowing the streets means the streets know you and the perp knows your moves, so when Luddie, Detective Kevin Searing, Lenny and other task force members start knocking on doors, news travels fast, and the fugitive manages to stay one step ahead of them at every turn. If the Marshals can't move faster than the news, then they'll make have to find other ways to make it impossible for him to hide. ICE Senior Special Agents Jerry Di Napoli and Hector Colon bring Commander Lenny DePaul a very unusual and challenging international case.
Six years ago a Jamaican police officer allegedly shot and killed a ten year-old girl while chasing a young man through a crowded market. Before the Jamaican authorities were able to arrest him, he fled. For the next six years local authorities hunted the alleged killer all over Jamaica.
Jerry and Hector have recently learned that the fugitive may have fled to the United States and could be living in the New York area. But their only lead is thin at best.
Given the severity of the crime Lenny, Jerry and Hector must find a lead in the hunt and pick up the trail of their target who was trained as a cop, thinks like a cop, knows how to use weapons and is possibly armed. They must move quickly and carefully if they are to catch their fugitive. Senior Inspector Mike Romani is in the Sex Offender's Unit and is eager to rein in everybody that breaks the law. But for Mike, cases involving children are especially urgent. Michael Bourke, the U.S. Marshals' Chief Psychologist from Washington DC, is in New York City to join Mike, Commander Lenny DePaul and a team of Marshals on a briefing of Mike's latest case. The fugitive is a twice convicted pedophile and sexual predator from Georgia and particularly dangerous because he works by 'grooming' or earning the trust of his young victims over time.
Many of these cases are not reported so convictions point only to the tip of the iceberg of actual assaults. Mike has received word that the fugitive is in N.Y.C. In a chase that takes the Marshals' team from the northern section of Manhattan to the industrial warehouse areas of Brooklyn, Mike is absolutely determined to find this sex predator before he hurts another child.
Senior Inspector Mike Woerner of the Albany Marshal's office has a lead on a 'Most Wanted' fugitive in upstate New York. Allegedly the suspect participated in an attempted murder-a drive-by shooting in Troy. Mike fears that the shooting was the opening salvo in a larger drug war. If he can apprehend the fugitive and put him behind bars, he may stem some of the impending violence. Commander Lenny DePaul is on his way to the Albany office to brief on the case. Lenny, Mike, and the Albany Marshals focus their investigation on the target's fianc e. They covertly follow the fianc e's vehicle, hoping she will lead them to their target.
Instead, she travels all over town, forcing the Marshals to call off the tail. They then confront the woman directly, asking her to surrender the man she's pledged to marry and prevent a drug war from exploding on the streets of Troy. In Virginia Beach, Virginia, nearly 30 handguns were stolen after thieves broke into a gun store through the roof.
The case made all the local news reports. When Supervisory Inspector Greg Holmes learned that the fugitives might be hiding out in Brooklyn, he called an emergency 5 a.m. Briefing with Commander Lenny DePaul, Inspector Dennis Tait, and Supervisor Ed McMahon.

Holmes suspects that the thieves will try and sell the guns on the street, so the team must act fast to secure the firearms. When Holmes gets a lead on where the fugitives are hiding, his team wastes no time in gearing up to apprehend them.
When Senior Officer Vinny Senzamici is assigned a parolee who's on the most wanted list, he knows he has a 'ticking time bomb' on his hands. He assembles his team and assigns the manhunt to his lead investigator, Officer Al Fernandez. The fugitive has a number of hideouts in Harlem, and it's a building-to-building search as the officers interview family members and friends in an effort to find the hideout. After a security guard claims to have seen the fugitive mere hours before, the team follows the lead into a dark tenement basement, where danger lurks in the shadows. As the Fugitive Task Force clears the underground hallways, they think they're closing in on their man-but actually the high-stakes hunt had just begun. Supervisor Mike Woerner and his team are hunting 'Young Gun,' one of upstate New York's Most Wanted fugitives.
Young Gun earned his name because he always carries a weapon. When he walks into a bar, people walk out, afraid for their lives-and with good reason. Young Gun is wanted for murdering a man in Schenectady, New York, with an AK-47. Mike reaches out to Commander Lenny DePaul for help, and Lenny immediately assigns Detective Roxanne Lopez and Investigator Dennis Tait to the case. Roxy and Mike urgently pursue leads in the Schenectady area while Lenny and Dennis scour New York City. The Marshals must find the armed and dangerous Young Gun-before he strikes again.
In the Syracuse office, Supervisor Joe Ciciarelli and his team-including Investigator Lyn Fox and Deputy Julie 'Jules' Gossin-are working the case of a dangerous and elusive fugitive, a man who once robbed a Burger King with a sawed-off shotgun. Now the fugitive is on the loose in Syracuse with many places to hide. Commander Lenny DePaul lends a hand to the investigation as the Marshals fan out across town. Unlike some cases, the Marshals have a huge network of locations and associates to check out, but if the fugitive gets word, he could slip away-or worse, he could load up for a violent confrontation. Senior Officer Vinny Senzamici and Officer Jesus Dumeng start off the day by nabbing a parole violator who raped a nine-year old. Without missing a beat, they jump right into another case.
Their next fugitive is a man wanted for violating parole on a manslaughter conviction. He killed his girlfriend's eight-year old daughter with a metal pipe. After hiding her body for two weeks in his home, he dumped her in a lot. Though the body was never recovered, he was eventually arrested and confessed to the killing. He served a dozen years of his 19-year sentence, then ran shortly after he was released on parole.
With Commander Lenny de Paul, the Marshals search for their perp among his family and friends in New York and Puerto Rico. Because of the fugitive's serious anger issues and violent record, and the rumors flying around that he may be unstable and suicidal, the Marshals take all precautions to prevent 'suicide by cop' and bring him in safely. Supervisor Tommy Kilbride, Deportation Officer Dennis Carroll, and the ICE team are working a brand new illegal reentry case. Their target was deported several years ago after brutally assaulting his ex-wife, but has returned to the country and could be after her again. Tommy and Dennis, along with Detective Roxanne 'Roxy' Lopez, brief Commander Lenny DePaul, are reporting that the fugitive may be hiding out in Spring Valley.
Since Roxy covers that area, she'll be able to work some leads. After interviewing the ex-wife, the Marshals are one hundred percent sure that the fugitive is in the country. But the woman has no clue where her ex-husband is hiding, and the Marshals become concerned for her safety. Lenny reaches out to an informant and gets a credible lead, but it's not going to be easy. The Marshals will have to use their wits to get a bead on their fugitive, before he can track down his ex-wife.
